thank you for the invitation to your Saturday night reunion dinner.  Fifty years ago I  knew I was in a good place that being Benson High. Last Saturday confirmed my thinking. It was a pleasure meeting some of you and  hearing of  your continuing success.  I am particularly happy that Evangelista and I got the picture on page 123 in the CUpola finally corrected.  Always remember to PAY IN FORWARD. So sorry I have missed all of the school reunions. Maybe the 50th I will be there. Not always easy to get  days off during summer time. I now live in southern oregon and work as a registered nurse. I hope to retire next year. Enjoy hiking, river rafting and fishing
here  in Oregon. I live about 2 and a half hours from the oregon coast. hope to hear from some of the classmates.

Fellow BunniesDitto on Carol's message.  I made a total fool of myself on the dance floor and didn't care.  Guess it has something to do with age.  I too would like to thank Roger Lindsey and Scott Darling and all the other members of the committee.  Can't wait for the 50th. I hope  won't need a walker.  Look out Todd Furse the dancing fool award will be up for grabs.Until then everyone take care.  Dan

A huge Thank You to the Reunion Committe on planning an outstanding weekend!!!  The Golf Outing was fun. (Larry Halldorson, Greg Carlberg, and Gene Graves were great team members.  Thanks guys!) Loved the Tip Top Ballroom on Friday night.  Great food and conversation with fellow Bunnies. (Too many to name.)  And the Dinner Dance Saturday night was a blast!!!  More than half that attended were up on the floor moving to the sounds of the Grease Band.  They were awesome!  I can hardly wait until our 50th!

Hello to all the Bunnies from Class of 67.
I'm retired now and have been for a few years. I don't have time to work with all my extra activities I attend each month.
I have moved about a mile from my old house of 31 years. No steps unless I need to go downstairs. Then I plan my trips.
When reunion time rolls around it is fun talking to some class mates to see if they are attending the 45th. Three out of four isn't bad. See you next Saturday night.

I met my wife, Debby while we were both at Creighton. I then went to University of Minnesota for Med School and then trained 3 years in Internal Medicine and another 3 in Cardiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. I have been on staff at Mayo, as consultant in Cardiovascular diseases since 1981. My specialty is Echocardiography and I directed the Echo Lab her until August 2011. I still have an active cardiology practice. Debby practice nursing after graduating from creighton and then got a masters in psychology and has a very active counseling practice.

Debby and I have 4 children, but lost our 3rd child (son, Kevin) in a motorcycle accident in 2008). Our oldest son, Chad is married and lives in Brainerd, MN and he and his wife Heidi have our two grandchildren, Dane and Bennett.  Our daughter, Erin owns a salon and spa in Rochester, and our youngest, David, works for a software hosting firm in Minneapolis.

Haven't been back to Omaha since David graduated from Creighton a few years ago. Have lots of great memories of Benson and our class. Sorry that I won't be able to make it to the 45th reunion. Hope all that attend have a fantastic time.  Buzz Miller

Life is filled with many twists and turns and its good to see that not too many of us have fallen off the edges.

I'm still a home builder, RE broker, and real estate developer but consider myself semi-retired (which means if you want a home built I'll get the deal put together then turn the project over to my young partner - lol! - we own Charleston Homes here in Omaha).

I'll be a grand father this February (daughter Alicia and husband Adam) which excites me. My son Dan is 33 and one of three great real estate salespersons for our company.

My S.O. is Mary Toews, who I got to know as a result of our BHS 40th reunion committee hiring her to plan and organize much of our event back then.  So, I guess I have more to thank Benson for than a good education! Funny how things work.

On the coincidental side, when reading the guest book this evening saw that Judie Johnson lives in Stone Creek, literally just catty corner from Waterford, a subdivision I'm living in. I had read her name on a list of people last week who hadn't been around since much earlier reunions and wondered where she had been - too funny.  Hi Judie - I'm sure I passed your house yesterday in a golf cart when I did 18 with my son.

See you all at the reunion!
-Gene

Last attended the 20 year reunion and recently stumbled upon the upcoming 45th announcement...am excited to attend.

I married Ron Nichols in 1967 and divorced after 18 years. We had 3 wonderful children:Tami age 43, who is an executive at Home Depot headquarters in Atlanta; Traci, 42, is a college professor in Birmingham and Ronnie, 32, who owns an Anytime Fitness is Blair, NE. We have 2 angel grandchildren, Drew age 12 and Greyson, 20 months.

Married my soulmate Ricky 23 years ago when I lived in Atlanta. We moved to Bham and we both have worked  in insurance for the past 25 years. I am a bodily injury claims specialist for Liberty Mutual and Ricky is with GEICO as an auto appraiser.  Ricky was born and raised in Louisiana and he is the one who has kept our life exciting, including our purchase of a farm in Alabama and raising crawfish and fresh water shrimp! The business was a huge success and we eventually sold it, opting for a less labor intensive life!

I lived in the South for 31 years, but always felt like I was just visiting so we moved back to Omaha 2 years ago and live on the golf course at Stone Creek. I am now a certified golf widow so I am attempting lessons so I get to see my husband once in awhile!

Looking foward to seeing you all in 2 weeks!

Hi All You Bunnies
Unfortunately, won't be able to make yet another reunion.  I was listed as "missing" for the previous one - good news! I've been found.  Living in Scottsdale, AZ for the past 20 years.  Prior to that we lived just outside of Atlanta for a couple of years and in New Jersey for 8 yrs.   Still married to Bill (42 yrs this Aug) - Two daughters (Kelly, about to be 40! - yikes and Kristy, 34.  They each have 2 kids - 3 grandsons and 1 princess!
I'm still in the workforce (or should I say back in) - was stay at home mom til about 10 years ago.  Bill has an internet business and that meant no health insurance for me, so had to get a job for insurance benefits.  I work for Valpak and will probably be here for another 2 years when Medicare kicks in (if it's still there).  Anyway, have a great time and even if you don't recognize each other, put a smile on and read their name tags!

Hi y'all!

I love reading the updates and wish I could attend the reunion.  Unfortunately, this will be the first year that I cannot attend.

I retired from teaching "Lifeskills" classes at the women's prison in 2006.  Though I loved it, non-profit employment can be under-funded, poorly managed and can create over-worked employees.

Mike, my dear husband of 34 years and I love our home in an area outside of Portland, called "Charbonneau" with 3 nine-hole golf courses and a lot of new great friends who are our age.

Mike, unfortunately, is still running a commercial floor covering business and I just keep getting involved with all the events, golf groups and such at Charbonneau.  Someone has to keep up the social schedule!  (Actually, I would love to find some part-time employment.)

The highlight of our lives are our two new grandchildren.  Vincent was 2 years old in May and highlights my life every Monday when I get to babysit.

Violet Lorraine (Lorraine after my mom), is our new joy who was born April 29.  I get to babysit her too on Mondays---have only done it once---I'm sure it will get easier!

Mom is staying with me for the summer.  She will turn 89 in August and lives in Green Valley, AZ.  I am so fortunate to have her.  She is sharp-minded, plays golf with the Niner's group in Charbonneau (and in Green Valley),  she drives, she still plays bridge, and Mom is my best friend.  I am so lucky.

So, to all of you, come visit when in the Portland, OR area.   May you have joy in your lives and love all around.

Love,
Dana

We live in Columbus, Ohio where our oldest daughter and her family live nearby. No one retires to Ohio but we did!! We have lived in Colorado, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Richmond Virginia and Northern Virginia courtesy of Union Pacific before retiring to Ohio.  I stay in regular contact with Jackie Payne O'Brien and Candy Kai McDermott. Jim and I have also reuntied with BHS VP Larry Smith when returning to Iowa City to watch the Hawkeyes play football. I married Alan Scurlock in 1968, but was divorced in 1983.  I remarried in 1988 to Bob Beason and we still live in Omaha.  We have been married 24 years.  I have two girls and 4 grandchildren.  I retired from Mutual of Omaha after 35 years.  I have been retired 6 years and enjoy my time very much.  I spend a lot of time with my grandchildren.  We have started a tradition of taking each grandchild on a two week vacation of their choice after they complete 8th grade.  We took the oldest granddaughter to Canada 2 years ago and just returned from Washington DC today with the second one.  The other two grandchildren are only 5 and 14 months, so we have  plenty of time to plan.   I volunteer at church once a week and keep pretty busy with other church activities as well.  I also love to work in my yard and tole paint.

Hello out there in cyberland.  Hope to hear from my good friends from B.H.S. --- all 3 of them.  Spent 4 yrs in the army right after H.S. (German linguist stationed along former East Germany border, along with Bundeswehr units) then 35 yrs. on Omaha Fire Dept.   Earned bachelor degree from U.N.O.  Rose through ranks in Fire Dept. to Battalion Chief.  Rather interesting piece of trivia:  was school fire inspector for 3 yrs. in late 1980's and inspected Benson High 20 yrs. after graduation.  Instantly noted that the food served in O.P.S. was absolutely terrible compared to when we all were there.  Also noticed the Hall of Fame on the north wall of the north cafeteria did NOT include my picture...undoubtedly a clerical oversight.   Particularly remember Mr. Fred Pisasale.  I wasn't a jock or a particularly popular kid, but for some reason he liked me.  Put me on his 5th hour hall monitor crew (Mr. Powers called it the goon squad) which allowed us to cut to the front of the lunch line. He also got me a summer job after graduation.  Fred was a good guy.   Especially would like to hear from Tom Cunningham and Jim Ecker.   Greetings to all from the hills of Harrison County Iowa (right across the river from Blair, Neb.)

I brought my wife Jeanne (then fiance) to the 10 year reunion, missed the 20 and attended the informal event for the 30 year and missed the 40 year. We were married that Sept. so Saint Jeanne (a former coworker dubbed her that) and I have been married for what will be 35 years and have 2 sons, Geoff 32 and Jonathan 29. Geoff is a graphic artist for a commercial real estate firm and a confirmed city dweller. Jonathan is a sales engineer for Blue Microphones managing marketing for the whole middle section of the USA. Jon and his wife of almost 3 years Joi have given us our first grandchild now 19 mos old who we dearly love to keep on some weekends and will be having another baby in Nov. I've been retired from the Veterans Health Administration Hines Hospiital for 2 years last Dec after ~35 years as a biomedical engineering technician, a job my tech school in the AFRES trained me for back in 1972. I now cycle, garden, sing as section leader for a couple of choirs and in another and work on a couple of product designs neither of which are yet completed nor patented. Oh yeah and enjoy the heck out of time with my sort-of namesake Liam. They live ~ 40 miles away from our home in La Grange Park out in Auraura Illinois.

I spent my junior and senior years at Benson while living with my uncle Clark Raser, a math teacher at Benson.   I moved  to Omaha in 1965 to repeat my junior year after my expulsion from my high school in Missoula , Montana in the spring of '65, after the Junior Prom.   I was headed to Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebonon, TN just before my uncle visited my family in Missoula in August.  I did not care much for Omaha or Benson at first, as I greatly missed what I had taken for granted in Montana.   By my senior year, I had gotten over my "home sickness" and  had made some good friends at Benson, with some of those friendships lasting to this day.   I attended UN in Lincoln for two and a half years where I married a Benson grad from "65, Peggy Rees.  I spent 2 years in the Marines as a Combat Engineer, returned to school in California and graduated there after my discharge as a Sgt.  I then interned with an architect in San Diego.  I returned to Missoula, MT in 1976 where I have lived and worked since.  I did make the 10th reunion which was a real disappointment for me but then I had been told that it probably would be as most 10th reunions are usually full of ego and pretense.  I am looking forward to the 45th though, just to see who shows up and without a cane or walker!

I graduated in 1967.  I spent 2 of my 3 high school years at Benson High.  In Oct of my Senior year my parents moved from Omaha to Illinois.  I did receive a yearbook, but somehow my picture did not show up.  However, I am in some of the candid shots in the book.  I would love to be contacted about future reunions.  I have been looking at this website and recognize some names, but it's been a long time to say the least.  Glad to reconnect and thanks for the website Class of 67!

Its expensive out here on the east coast. New Jersey to be exact. I've worked it retail and wholesale. I work part time now because I get to bored.

Married to the same man for 40 years since it is now 2011. Better late than never really applies to me apparently. He came with me to the 30th reunion.

The last time I was in Omaha was 2006 when I came for my Mothers funeral and on my way my Step father died so we had a double funeral.

So now take my picture off the Milk box please.

I am not a computer jock and I just now stumbled across this web site as I unfortunately did not know about the 40 year reunion. It seems like everytime a reunion comes up a big change is happening in my life. On the day of the 30 year reunion a moving van showed up and took us all to Scottsdale and I somehow got the feeing that Nancy would not appreciate me taking off, and on the 40 year I had my first knee replacement.
I have been blessed with 3 lovely children and just 6 mos ago Stephanie blessed us with our first grand child, little baby girl Kelsey. Stephanie is now 27 and was married to Ryan Cross in April 08. Ryan is a CPA with Honeywell here in Phx and only knock is he is an Arizona State grad. Stephanie grad from U of AZ, is a marketing director for Starwood hotels and offices at the Phoenician Hotel, nice diggs. Our oldest son Shaun is 23 and graduated from U of AZ with a finance degree in May 09. He is located in Austin, Tx and traveling with his company throughout So TX and doing exceptionally well. Our youngest, Spencer is 22,(yes, they are only 1 yr apart and yes I have asked many times what were we thinking?) he graduated form U of AZ just this spring with an engineering degree. Amazingly he also is going to be located in Austin once his training class in WI is over. Best news is God answered all my prayers as all my children look like their Mother and are also smart like their Mother. Nancy and I have been married for 32 years. She is an Albuquerque, NM native, a graduate of U of New Mexico and been a very successful insurance agent for over 30 years. Nancy has always had all the energy and all the brains for the whole family. I presently am semi retired and working in her office 3 days a week. Just 2 weeks ago we purchased a home in Phx to be closer to our granddaughter as grandpa has a hug amount of spoiling to do. What can I say, it's my job. I hope you will see this and e mail me as i would love to catch up and share pictures and more information.

I went to the reunion and had a wonderful time.  It was so great to see everyone.  I stayed in Omaha after high school and raised my three children here.  I am a grandmother of 7 children and really enjoy spending time with them.  I've worked at the Post Office for 22 years, I am in the church choir, and bell choir. I like to read, go to movies, crochet, and go for walks.  My oldest granddaughter  is a sophomore at guess where?   Benson High. Hope to see you at the next reunion.

Better late than never.  Sorry I missed the reunion.  Maybe I can shoot for number 50.  I married Sheila Jelinek '65 in 1971, and we eventually (I'm slow there, also) had two sons, now 23 and 20.  For 30 years I have been a Biology professor at Earlham College, a small liberal arts college in eastern Indiana, and Sheila has taught fifth grade.  I spend my summers on long-term (28 years so far) research projects with college students on endangered iguanas in the Bahamas and threatened turtles at the Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge in western Nebraska.  To reduce our carbon footprint we have also been reforesting 76 acres of Indiana cropland and woodland.  Boring details of my academic life can be found at www.earlham.edu/~johni, along with some neat pictures of our field work for nature lovers.  My real news is that after 48 years wearing glasses, as of a year ago I am 20/20 without them!  Hence, I really did miss seeing you in September.    Be good.

I did not hear of the reunion until after the event, but happy to hear the 40th was celebrated in style! We have lived in Texas for the last 25 years. Our loyalty still belongs to the Cornhuskers, but a little more difficult with a son-in-law who has UT roots. Our three grown daughters are in Virginia, Georgia and Texas and we have 5 grandchildren, with more to come, I'm sure! I am a former teacher, but now working for the Provost Office at a local college. We still come "home" to Nebraska occasionally to visit our families and reconnect with our roots.

I could not make the reunion, but hope that this site will stay up a little longer so that those of us who were on milk cartons can still respond. After graduating from UNO, I taught for a short time in Madison. In 1974 I moved to Southern California. I married and was a stay-at-home soccer mom for many years. In 2000 I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary and am pastoring a small church. I have two children. My daughter has a degree in Social Science and is working with GIS exploring her options. My son is in college and his current major is German. Both of them hope to work overseas at some point and are interested in mission work. The congregation I serve is located in one of the poorer areas of Southern California. It is very different from the Omaha I grew up in or the suburban area of my children's early years. Reading your biographies and stories has been good. I would love to hear more.

Hi to BHS67 alums! I have to admit has been fun reading about all of you- now if I could just find my yearbook for a visual reminder. I graduated from UN in 71 with BSN. Also got married that year - Galen is a RPh- and we have been married 36 yrs. Have 3 wonderful kids: Jenna is in banking- some sort of VP thing- with Bank of America in Charlotte, NC- has 3 boys- 2 yr old and 8 week old twins. Allison is OBGYN in Milwaukee, And Matt is a Patent Atty ( also a computer engineer) in Minneapolis. I am currently working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner- have grad degrees from SDSU and SUNY @ StonyBrook, NY. Am sure this will be a suprise, but was a college prof for 12 years- teaching nursing- peds and psych & pharm. We have lived in New Orleans- first 2 kids born there and in Stillwater, OK before moving to Galen's home town, Yankton, SD ~ 17 yrs ago. Yes, our NoLA home was under water- good thing we were long away from there. And I love my work- my focus is peds psych but i also see adults in my practice. July 07 -we both decided to work less and have more time to enjoy life; both of our employers agreed to our plan- we work 3 weeks/month and then take one week off. Love bike riding and go all over with our bikes. Am an avid quilter. We are constantly restoring our old home- we do the work ourselves and is a fun hobby . Best HS memory- 9th grade bio. Can you believe we actually wore those beanies, etc in Pep Club?? What was the name of the place on 72nd and Dodge- "cheese frenchee" was the best, as I remember. Have another trip planned next weekend to visit our son. Have fun at reunion. :) Pat

My wife Jody is an ordained Presbyterian minister, and we have two unmarried children in their 20’s. I serve on several national commissions working on how to measure the quality of physician work. I was appointed a professor at the Nebraska College of Medicine, and was president of the Omaha Medical Society. Hobbies include gardening, preserving (pickles, jams, etc.), and travel. I followed the very real Dr. “Patch” Adams, twice growing long hair and beard and serving as medical director of the National Rainbow Gathering of Living Light, a counter-cultural camping conclave of some 10,000 hippies and neo-hippies. In this economy 2 cigarettes traded for 3 joints. Our next project: finding a retirement retreat in the Czech Republic. I have really enjoyed each of your updates. Please contribute more, and I hope to see you all next week.

Contrary to last reunion I'll respect these short bios and share my own..I've enjoyed reading yours! I've made my home in North Carolina for the past 33 years and currently live in the Raleigh area, Wake Forest to be exact. I'm fortunate to have my 3 grown children all living close and doing wonderful things...like having grandbabies for me! I'm Giva, for Grand Diva instead of Grand ma...and spend lots of time with my two little grandsons. Real estate has been my career by necessity and painting is my career by choice. The real estate has afforded me the independence to follow my passion. When I discovered painting several years ago I decided to simplify my life, downsize, and live in aesthetically appealing environments..I now split my time between my 150 year old stone cottage on the Neuse River in Wake Forest; a quaint Mexican condo on the hill overlooking rooftops and ocean in old town Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and a contemporary ocean condo in Bucerius, Mexico. Check out my VRBO website and make a plan to visit! www.VRBO.com/86774 and www.VRBO.com/137966 I look forward to seeing you all and remember I can't see any more...if I'm vain enough not to have my glasses you'll all look as young as you ever were! See you soon...Robbin

Looks like I'm the only teacher on this list. I was at BHS from '56-'68, then Ind.Ed. supervisor for OPS for 5 yrs., then @ Burke for 7. Coached the golf team @ Burke & won the state championship in '76. Left for Colorado in '80 @ age 40 to play golf, hike, bike, ski, snowshoe, and camp. Haven't worked for the last 27 yrs. & have been married to the same woman for 53 yrs. It would be fun to come to the reunion from Loveland, CO, but have a camping trip to Rocky Mtn, Nat'l. Park to see and hear the elk during their mating season. Good luck to all of you.

Wow, those 40 years really went by fast! After graduating from UNO I taught for several years, got married and had three children. Our oldest, Nicholas lives in Nebraska and has given us our first grandbaby, Morgan Katherine, age 6 weeks. Our middle child, Emily, lives in Minneapolis and teaches at North Central University as well as being part of a local production company. Our youngest, Amanda, is a student at the University of Sioux Falls, studying music and theology. They are all such blessings. Ron is Vice-President of Sales for Kreisers, a medical supplies distributor in Sioux Falls, and that keeps him busy. I've gone to substitute teaching only, so that I can travel with him and do other things. We keep busy with church work, gardening, classical guitar playing, and various hobbies. Sorry we can't be there but a business trip to Boston had already been arranged. Have a blessed time! If you're ever in Sioux Falls, come see us. We're in the book!

Hello, looking forward to the reunion. Quickly, finshed UN law, moved to NYC, now live in Summit, New Jersey (really a suburb of NYC). Married with one son who just finished college. My wife and I play a lot of golf at a nearby club. She recently stepped down from a wall steet banking carrer and now is happily the CFO for a local private school. I'm working at a corporation (BASF), as tax counsel. I've been a member in several Scottish organizations and charities over the years. When I moved to NYC, I began playing the bagpipes. (why-I don't know) Joined the NYC Police Pipe Band and had fun playing at events like the NYC St. Patricks Day parade and once played in Scotland. Please come over and say hello at the dinner, I promise to say you haven't change a bit.

Hello Fellow Grey Hairs!!!!! Hey this site should have the graduating photos on it for all to see. My memory is not so good. YOU all are getting older and look a little funny today! So if we met bumpers, I wouldn't even recognize you! I married my High school sweetheart bunny-Donald Lippold. We had 3 children. 1 girl-Christina(Computer net worker & Program Trainer for Scotts Air force base) now resides w/1 son in Illinois and we had 2 sons-Ken and Richard. Ken resides in Virginia(Navy devote now for 20 years, a Senior Chief) with wife and 2 children (1 girl and 1 Boy)and our other son, Richard, lives here in Omaha, with Bi-Polar Disorder and remains unmarried. Donald passed away from cancer in 1994 and I have since remarried to a X-truck driver (traveled w/him on the road for 2 years) and now a Maintenance Engineer-Roger Martinson and we still reside in Millard, South west part of Omaha. I am self employed. I do at home Telemarketing to businesses only. I update business information for many different free trade publications they receive. I still touch base with Marylin Hunt(Yager, now)and by email-Roy & Kathy Anderson and occasionally when I catch up with her...Cheryl Lamb. I most enjoy such hobbies as making Stained glass projects, fishing, camping, traveling, Sadoku and crocheting. I remember when President Kennedy was assassinated and thought that many times the Fire Drills were far more exciting than the football game! Hope to see you at the reunion.

My husband, Fred and I have heen married for 36yrs and have lived in Colorado Springs for the last 23 years. We have a son, Greg and his wife, Sandy both whom are in the Air Force. We have 2 grandkids, Mason (6) and Ashley (1). They don't live close but I still spoil them just the same. Fred just retired for the second time and enjoys his time golfing. I on the other hand still work for a Home Health agency in the accounting dept and will stay at it for another 4 year. I've also worked as a mortgage closer for 10 years and worked doing income tax. Didn't work much when we lived overseas as it was too much traveling to other counties. Hope to see most of you at our reunion. If not take care.

Why aren't more of you writing? In 2003 I retired as a psychoanalyst and live on a small island about 100 miles from New York City (Shelter Island), accessible only by ferry. I remain close friends with Barb(Owen)Scanlon and Robbin Richardson (they both have houses in resort locations!), and we see each other at least once each year. I finally got it right in marriage, and have a wonderful husband, Peter, who is retired from Citigroup. He's coming with me to the reunion because he wants to eat at Gorat's. We raise oysters, sail, travel, and are about to start building our second home together. I have a 17-year old step-daughter who started college in the States this year after living in Germany for six years. I hope to see many of you soon.

I'm probably the biggest nerd to come out of Benson High. I'm around. But I have been hiding in plain sight. I was the 3rd guy to get his diploma on graduation because my name started with a Y. They decided to do anti-alphabetical order that year. That would be the first and last time that woud ever happen. Mike Zach and Marylis Zangerlie were ahead of me. (Where are they?) I went on to be an English major at UN-O. When I started it was OU! I was involved with the music department. I played the violin. In 1968 my father died. It changed my life. In my senior year, KMTV hired me. I rose in the ranks from floormanager, to associate director to become a full-fledged producer/director. One of the shows I directed was "Playground Champions". Our old French teacher Carol Hodges was working the show. Wow! Now, I don't know how many of you guys fantasized about Miss Hodges...but you get the idea. I wrote and directed such things as "Creature Feature" and directed the local news. I stayed at KMTV for about 10 years until I got bored. I was, you know, big fish, small pond. I was friends with Leahy, Citron, Exon, Takechi, Zorinski, P.J. Morgan, and Al Veys. (Just to drop a few names.) In 1981 I moved to KDFW, channel 4, in Dallas, Texas as a director. In a top 10 market. Small fish. Big pond. I did OK, ending up directing things like the coverage from both the Democratic and Republican National conventions. (That sky-box stuff.) I have directed a 26 camera live show from the studios at Las Colinas that was broadcast on something like 36 stations in the state of Texas. I have written a novel. But the less said about that the better. I have flown in our helicopter, Sky4, (and in Omaha on SkyCam 3) and cried when my friends died in crashes in similar helicopters. I've flown in the Fuji Blimp. I have many hours training in rotor-craft. I have flown multi-million helicopters as PIC. Pilot In Command. Along the way I've been married 3 times and was graced with twin sons at some point. One of whom is a Mission Controller for NASA working the Space Shuttle Missions in Propulsion Systems. My other son is in LA with a triple major in physics and math, and found himself as a QC guy for adhesives. (Whatever that is!) In '04, after FOX bought our station and it was apparent that the culture of youth would prevail, I retired at 55. I didn't leave without a plan, however. I married this British woman, and went into business shooting video depositions for the legal industry. It pays quite well. Boy does it pay well.

Lots of changes in the last 10 years. Both of my sons are married. Scott the oldest lives up the hill from me with wife and his two boys. Sam is 8 and Max is 4. My youngest son Steve and his wife live in Reno. They only have dogs and cats. I will be making my third trip to see them in two weeks. My parents are going with me. Four years ago was a big change. I lost my husband to an fishing trip accident. Last year I started working only three days a week. Love that. I get to see my grandsons a lot which make my days. Hope to see everyone at the reunion.

Wish I could be there this year, but I'm in school and now work on Sundays. After 30+ years in the advertising business in Houston, NY and Dallas and again most recently in Houston, I answered a call into the ministry. Next May I'll be graduating from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and then await a call to a church and begin another of life's chapters. I'm blessed to have a wonderful wife of thirty three years, Lynda. We have three grown daughters and three grandchildren, with one more on the way. Two daughters live here in Austin and one in Dallas. If anyone is headed to Austin for the Cornhuskers-Horns game, please give me a holler. I need all the Big Red friends possible, as my wife and second daughter are Orangebloods...along with the rest of this city. Blessings to all. Have fun this September.

Happy 40 every one ! ! ! ! ! Mary & I have been married for 33 wonderful years. Our 23-year-old daughter is in Vet School, has her own apartment, and is doing very well.We lost our first daughter to SIDS in 1982, so needless to say, Laura is very special. Mary is a financial analyst and manages a five state region. She is a CPA and a CMA, and spends most of her time keeping me in line. In 1973, I started a finder service for rare and collectable Jaguars worldwide and did very well for several years. (Remember, this was pre-internet) Semi retired now, I earn a wage as a credit and finance manager for the oldest Door & Window Co in Omaha, but spend most of my time on my music. My stage name is “FINGERS”. I still play keyboards for the RR&B we started in 1963. The equipment has changed, but the 50/60 Rock n Roll has not. Even though I studied the classics for over 10 years while in grade school and high school, I now enjoy playing almost anything from Van Cliburn to Jerry Lee Lewis and from Billy Joel to Billy Preston. We would have thoroughly enjoyed this reunion, but unfortunately, we’re “on the road again”. We wish everyone well, and my God bless! Tome Q

My daughter, Melissa, is a wildlife biologist at U of A in Tucson. My other daughter, Megan, works for HUD in Denver.
