Linda Weaver (Webster)
Retired (former Secretary at IBM-Tampa) Married 4

Hello everyone. I cannot attend this year, but I welcome e-mails.

Moved to Tampa, Florida in 1984.  Married husband, Pete, 32 years ago in Omaha on Valentine's Day.  He finally retires this Friday 9/28, so have a drink on him to celebrate when you are out Friday night, okay?!

Three of our four children (Jennifer-36, Brad-34 and Scott-29) live in the Tampa Bay area, but our oldest, Jeff (41), still lives in Omaha.  We really miss having him and his family around. We have eight grandchildren and are fortunate that four of them live nearby.

Jeff has worked for First Data Resources in Omaha for many years now. Jennifer and her husband are both retired military (she Navy-he Air Force). They each joined the service after graduating from high school and are now contractors at MacDill AFB here in Tampa.  Brad is a truck driver. Scott is an auto mechanic, but is presently unemployed, as he's recovering from a massive heart attack he had on 8/26/07.  He is doing well, praise God. It's been a real test of faith for all of us.  We appreciate any prayers for his continued recovery.

My pastimes (besides being a grama!) are Bible Study, saltwater fishing, going to the beach, crocheting, playing cards and having garage sales!

My two best friends from Benson High are Betty Renner (now Feltman) from Elkhorn, NE and Lana Vaughn from Bismarck AR. The three of us hope to attend the next reunion whenever that is...God willing!

By the way, does anyone remember Miss Donley's Type II Typing Class?  She had to be the oldest teacher I ever had!! I'll never forget those huge round eye glasses that magnified her little old eyes! BUT, I have to tell you, she taught me well. I have made a living typing 96 words per minute..every place I worked people would comment..."watch her smoke that keyboard!!!..so, THANK YOU MISS DONLEY wherever you are!!!!  I couldn't have done it without you!

Well, y'all enjoy your winter (brrrrrr) as we enjoy ours! :)  Be blessed and have a great Jesus-filled day!

July 08, 1949 Retired Single Again 1
I left Omaha shortly after graduation and moved to Albuquerque with my first husband.  I came back to Omaha In 1974 after he passed away.  I married Tony Marino [our class 67] in 1976 and since both of us wanted to leave Omaha we moved to Milwaukee where we lived for about 4 years and then his company moved him to the Chicago area where we stayed.  Tony and I divorced in 1986 and my daughter and I moved back to Omaha where I have been ever since.

I worked at Creighton Prep when I came back to Omaha for 10 years and then FDR for another 10 years. I retired in the summer of 2015 and just so I don't get bored working part time at Marriott Reservations.

June 18, 1949 Legal Videographer Married 2

Attended UN-O for four years and while there I started a part-time job with KMTV that became a full-time one and was eventually promoted to Producer/Director directing the evening news.  Moved to Dallas, Texas in 1981 after getting a job at KDFW-TV and worked there as a director until 2004 when I took early retirement.  I have started a "retirement career" as a Certified Legal Video Speclaist which is very interesting in it's own way, but hard to get used to the ups and downs of working for yourself.

I have two sons; one living in Houston, Tx and one in Riverside, Ca.  I am married to Lorraine who was born and raised in London, England and is a Legal Secretary.  We have two dogs and are vociferous readers who don't watch much TV (go figure).  My son in Houston and his wife have a young girl and a new baby boy.  So now I'm a grandpa.

Most "fun" class:  Physics.  Thanks, Mr. Graham.
Activity I was most involved in:  Orchestra.  Thanks, Mr. Edson and Mr. Elsberry.
Most valuable class that prepared me for the future:  Typing.  Thanks Ms. Burbridge.
Class I should have paid more attention to as it turned out:  Journalism.  Thanks, Mr. Horn.
