Philip Buller
Quality Engineer Married
After ten years living overseas serving as a pilot-mechanic for church related missions work, we have been living the last nine years in North Carolina.  I am now working as a Quality Engineer in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

Married for 34 years to Deborah, who I met in college, but we have no children.

My mother at 93 still lives in Omaha, so I get back about once a year and often end up driving on 52nd Street past the school.

Fred Carman
Sheet Metal Estimator / Project Mgr. JCCINC.COM Married 4

I was at the 10 year reunion and then again for the 15 year where I heard this was too much trouble and there would never be another. Surely not I thought; there would be a 20 or for sure a 25 but no and then when there wasn't a 30th I gave up. The thought of a 40 did cross my mind in the spring but that thought was gone in a moment. So when I got the invitation for our 40th I was suprised.

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this weekend; family issues and too many other trips this past summer will keep me home here in the Quad Cities.

I married my first wife in 1968 when I should have been in college; it lasted eight years before we devorced. We have a son and a daughter who are both married and living in upstate New York (not far from their mother) and doing well. Between them we have four grandchildren ranging in age from 6 - 18 years.

I moved with my first family to the Quad Cities in late 1974 to take a position with Johnson Contracting Company as an HVAC detailer. After nearly 33 years I'm still here at JCC and now hold the position of Senior Industrial Estimator / Project Manager and have as my primarly account ALCOA's Davenport Works (The world's largest aluminum rolling mill).

After a couple of crazy single again years in the late 70's I married Joyce in May of 1980; we have two grown children, Jenaya 25 and Josh 23.

Jenaya is in the Cedar Rapid, Iowa area and doing well.

Josh is home again after suffering a TBI in an auto accident April 30, 2005. The Lord didn't take him in the accident and after a summer of ICU and rehab hospitals we brought him home to Illinois from upstate NY. Josh continues with therapy session and soon may return to the ranks of the employed. Josh wants to live independantly and drive again but that may take a little longer.

Josh isn't where I want him to be but I believe he is where God wants him to be. It's only through the power of prayer and the Grace of God that Josh's recovery has been possible and that my family has been able to endure the past 2-1/2 years.

I am active in my church and I hope you are in yours.

As a family we enjoy fishing, skiing , bicycling and gardening depending on the season.

This will be my 13th season with the National Ski Patrol at Snowstar Ski Area; a small family area that keeps my skills sharp for those all to infrequent trips out west.

Where are the Quad Cities? Just 306 miles east on I-80 until you reach the Mississippi River. Pick four but only four; Davenport  & Bettendorf, Iowa then Moline, East Moline and Rock Island Illinois.

The skiing isn't worth the trip (go west young man) but cycling along the mighty Mississippi in the summertime is. We have over 100 miles of bike trails mostly along the river, come for a visit sometime.

Enjoy the reunion; I wish I could have made it.

WHAT NO SPELL CHECK; I knew I should have paid better attention in English class.

Fred

My husband Bill (64' BHS graduate) and I have lived in Texas for over 30 years.  We have 3 grown daughters and 6 grandchildren aged 4 through 12.  We are looking forward to adding 2 more grandbabies (twin boys ) to our family this September.  My husband is Senior Construction Manager for Texas Walmarts.  My professional career has been in education (taught elementary school) and in business.  I worked as a personal assistant for Lady Bird Johnson for a brief time in the 80's.  I am currently working at a local college for the Provost Office.  We still have family in Omaha and visit occasionally.  Unfortunately, I will be in Omaha the week before the reunion and cannot stay but hope everyone has a wonderful time! Retired 5th grade teacher Married 4

Janie and I have been married 38 years.  I retired 4 years ago as a 5th grade teacher; best gig in the world.  Janie retired 2 years ago as a Project Manager from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Besides our 4 kids, we have 2 grandkids, Taylor, 8, and Morgan, 5.  Our oldest, Shelly, is 36 and an OPS principal.  Kristina, our Downs Syndrome daughter, is 28 and has worked at UNMC for the past 8 years.  Our youngest are twin boys, 26; both are BHS '99 grads.  Mat was senior class president, now a Dr. in residency in San Diego.  TJ, "Tim", is a construction representative with the Omaha Corps of Engineers.  And Eric-son would never drink beer with me again if I didn't mention our favorite son (in-law).
These days Janie and I look forward to the bedlam of family and friend gatherings, autumn Saturdays at Memorial Studium with some ice-cold post-game beers.  But most of all, we love time spent together with the 3 S's:  sun, surf, and sand on a warm beach, with a cheap bottle of wine, and of course nooners.
