August 24, 1949 Retired Married
After graduating from Benson, I attended Iowa State University and received bachelors and masters degrees, with majors in computer science (bachelors), math (bachelors) and computer science (masters).  I proceeded to become a jack of all trades and master of none, working in computer performance analysis, software engineering, programming and network management for such organizations as IBM, American Express, Dun & Bradstreet, Iowa State and others.  I also taught computer science for several years at ISU.  My most recent positions were Network Manager at the Iowa State Memorial Union (ISU’s student union), and Information Technology Coordinator for Student Affairs at ISU.  I’m currently retired and keeping busy with a salt water aquarium, black powder shooting, golf and keeping a 1930 Model A Ford in good condition.

I married my high school girlfriend, Anita Travis (Central ’67), in 1970 and we’re still married, 43 years now.  We have no children but have successfully raised several parakeets.  We’ve done a fair amount of traveling, mostly in Europe but also in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.  In an attempt to sample a little bit of everything, we’ve owned a motorcycle, sailboat, experimental aircraft and vintage automobile.

In 2011, I was greatly honored by being inducted into the Benson High Hall of Fame.

Student/Advertising Executive Married 3
After 30+ years in the advertising business in Houston, NY and Dallas and again most recently in Houston, I answered a call into the ministry. Next May I'll be graduating from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and then await a call to a church and begin another of life's chapters. I'm blessed to have a wonderful wife of thirty three years, Lynda. We have three grown daughters and three grandchildren, with one more on the way. Two daughters live here in Austin and one in Dallas. If anyone is headed to Austin for the Cornhuskers-Horns game, please give me a holler. I need all the Big Red friends possible, as my wife and second daughter are Orangebloods...along with the rest of this city. Blessings to all. Have fun this September. August 18, 1949 Retired Married
Last year I retired from Wells Fargo where I had been a Human Resources Consultant for 33 years.  I have lived in the area of Minneapolis for 32 of those years.  Now I have my "dream job", teaching toddlers at a Christian childcare center.  I am also the Sunday school preschool coordinator at my church.  So even though my husband, Vic, and I have no children of our own, my world is full of kids!  I have a little Yorkie named Gracie who is my joy.  God is good.  I'm sorry I can't attend the reunion but hope you all have a great time.

July 2012 - This is an update since my last entry.  Vic and I have since retired to Omaha in order to be closer to my mother and family.  We built a home in West Omaha, and my Mom is living with us now.  In addition to our little Yorkie, Gracie, we now have a Maltese named George.  He is an older dog but a real hoot to be around.  I'm enjoying getting to relearn Omaha.  It's nice to have time to do the things I didn't have time to do when I was working - like "morning" Bible studies.  Vic and I won't be able to attend the reunion this summer, but hope you all have a great time!

Payroll Manager Married 2
I can't believe it has been 40 years since high school. My how time flies!
I have been married to my second husband for 24 years and love truly is better the 2nd time around (at least for me). We met in Las Vegas in 1982 and continue to reside there. We have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
Our son, Steve, is 36 and has lived in Denver for the last 5 years. He has an 8 year old son, Cody, who lives in Wyoming.
Our daughter, Angela, is 32 and has a 12 year old son, Brandon. They have decided that, at least for the time being, it is great living with us. We really enjoy having them around, however, alone time is nice when we can get it.
I am the Payroll Manager at University Medical Center of Southern NV. I have been at the hospital for 18 years. I only wish I had started this job a few years earlier so retirement was a little closer. My husband, Bill, has been in his job for 31 years, but decided to wait for me to retire.
Even though we were not close in high school, the one person I still am in contact with is Anne Berry (Henderson). We became best friends after we graduated and remain close to this day. I usually only get to Omaha once a year and we always manage to make time for each other.
It has been so much fun reading about everyone. I am really looking forward to the reunion and hopefully will recognize a few people.
